Storz & Bickel Volcano Medic 2 Desktop Vaporiser
The Volcano Medic 2 is an ARTG-registered desktop vaporiser with a hybrid convection-and-conduction heating system, an LCD display with Bluetooth app connectivity, and a balloon-and-tube delivery system. It is designed for use with dried, milled cannabis flower and with liquid cannabinoids dissolved in alcohol, and is intended for use in home, hospital or medical practice settings where permitted.
Heating System
The device uses a patented combination of convection and conduction heating, via a double helix heat exchanger. Temperature is adjustable from 40–230°C. Heat-up time is approximately 40 seconds to reach 180°C. The heating element draws 270W.
Display and Controls
An integrated LCD display with touch button controls shows and adjusts settings. The device connects via Bluetooth to the Storz & Bickel Web App for temperature control and further customisation. Auto shut-off is factory-set to 30 minutes of inactivity.
Filling Chamber
The filling chamber is ceramic-coated and detachable, with a stated capacity of 6.5cm³ (approximately 600mg of material).
Delivery System
The device uses a balloon-and-tube hybrid delivery system: balloons with mouthpieces for balloon-based use, and a direct tube option for immediate-draw use.
Power and Electrical
The device is mains-powered (voltage varies by region; confirm the AU/NZ power cord specification with your supplier) and is Protection Class II (double insulated).
Dimensions
Approximately 20 x 18 x 20cm. See the sourcing note above regarding a discrepancy in the stated weight.
